Somebody-Wanted-But-So The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger tells the story of a teenaged boy named Holden Caulfield who is fed up with how his life is going and wants to live it his way instead of the way most people would. Holden in a sixteen year old boy who is wondering the streets of the Big Apple. Holden is relatively skinny, has brown hair, and has a red hunting hat that he loves. He has moved from school to school due to his poor grades and he gets in trouble every time it happens, but the cause is because of a deeper meaning. His father is a lawyer and his mother is a stay at home mom and they live in the upper class. He has one a younger sister named Phoebe that he adores, an older brother named D.B. that he likes as well, but he has a deceased brother named Allie that he liked the most. He decides before his parents figure out that he has been gave the axe that he should go hang around New York City and live a little because he has been able to in a long time. After a few days Holden becomes a little home sick and feels like he needs to to talk someone, anyone. He calls up a few people and goes on a few dates just to get the feeling of human interaction, but it just is not enough. He wants to go see his little sister Phoebe and decides that he should go see her, so he sneaks into his home and walkes her up just so they could talk and that really helped Holden's moral a lot.
