The NCAA gets paid millions of dollars every year and the college athletes who make the money do not see a penny of it, so should they start getting paid? If college athletes get paid you would not see the heart and determination you see now in collegiate sports. College athletes should not get paid because they are getting free education already, they are playing for a school not for a professional team, and they are building skills to someday get paid. Some college athletes would not be able to go to college if their education was not paid for. Sixty percent of college athletes drop out of school before they get through two years of college (Mcauly). Those 60% are the kids who think they should get paid to play, but they really shouldn’t because they are getting free education and even if they don't go to the pros they could put in some hard work to come out of college with a good degree. When kids are being scouted they are told that along with a free education they could (Mcauly). These kids aren't being lied to because they do, in fact, get some type of compensation, and these coaches need to be kicked out of the NCAA. This means college athletes aren't going to school to get a good degree, see the beautiful campus, or meet new friends, they want the money. These athletes are getting free education and need to be excited about what they have. These men need to act like men and realize what they have. A lot of under class kids wish for a shot like these athletes are getting and all the athletes are worried about is getting paid. Without these collegiate athletes people would be missing out on some great entertainment but if players and coaches start getting arrested more often for money scandals then these sports could be in trouble. These men need to stay determined and work for the pros where they make some big
