Date Rape Rough Draft In the world we live in today, “only 34% of all rape incidents get reported per the Criminal Justice System Statistics given by the Rape, Abuse, and Incident National Network” (The Criminal Justice System: Statistics). Unfortunately, rape is one of the most under-reported crimes to occur; never discriminating against their victim. That includes child rape, gang rape, statutory rape, spousal rape, and date rape. Date rape is a notorious social issue that affects the psychological, physical, and social elements of the victim. A victim came forward with her story, 3 years after the incident she still questions if it was rape. Her and friend had gone out to dinner then back to his dorm, while she told her date that she did not want any sex, he persisted. Although she was drunk, she was conscious, but unable to do much as he had the advantage of strength and body mass against her.
