He had never felt this way towards her, she had only been a friend. Desiree Valmonde Aubigny was found on the front steps of the Valmonde plantation when she was very small. She grew up with the Valmondes, very joyful and taken care of. Armand went from mean to kind. From possessive and selfish to loving and open. As he fell for Desiree, so did the hatred towards his slaves. He began to understand the feelings of others. But as soon as he found out about the baby, he became just angry and hurt. As soon as he found out that it wasn’t her about the racial mixed, he felt very guilty. Madame Valmonde is Desiree’s adoptive mother. She loved Desiree so much and just wanted to protect her. She is a kind and sweet lady, just like Desiree, The last character is Armand’s and Desiree’s child. Since the baby was born, it was much loved by its whole family.
