Emmitt Smith was in the NFL and is arguably the best running back in NFL history. Besides that he is one of the most influential people of all time. He has helped countless people and families.
Emmitt Smith achieved his goal by, “ never giving up,” according to NFL network with an exclusive interview with Emmitt Smith. He went to Escambia High School in in Pensacola, California. After 4 years of great football he was offered a deal by Florida university, a top tier team, he couldn’t resist. In his attempt to help his family he worked several jobs to get money for his family. Also Smith spent his spare time helping his ailing grandmother, who he promised to be successful to, according to the interview with Emmitt. Smith’s life choices and family lead him to be an influential and great person. Smith had to work hard to get to where he is and he promised that to his family.
Emmitt Smith’s most important awards and achievements are his four rushing titles and super bowl MVP. In his four rushing titles he ran for many yards. In 1991 he ran for 1,563 yards. In 1992 re rushed for 1,713 yards. Then in 1993 he ran for 1,486 yards. In his last title he rushed for 1,773 yards, and that was his best year in 1995. In Smith’s super bowl MVP award he rushed for 132 yards and got 2 touchdowns and a handful of receiving yards.
Emmitt Smith also has affected many families across the USA that couldn’t afford to go to school. He runs a charity called the “ Pat and Emmitt Smith Charities.” Emmitt buys a lot of school supplies like, backpacks, pens and pencils, and even back to school clothes. It goes on in many places throughout the USA over a year. He has shown his care for less fortunate families and has gave them hope for a good education.
