Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is an absolute MUST watch for every high schooler. The 80’s film follows Ferris Bueller and his best friend, Cameron Frye, on an adventure of a lifetime. With Bueller’s carefree attitude and Cameron’s constant concern, the movie could not be more accurate in showing the stages of high school. One of the most famous quotes of the movie, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it,” reminds us all to live in the enjoy our young years. Be kind. This could be said a multitude of different ways, but that is the easiest advice I could ever give to anyone. Even when another is rude intentionally or unintentionally, you never know what some one is going through. This is advice I wish I could have gave myself while I was an underclassmen, and advice I still have trouble following. However, being kind does not give you the excuse to be passive. You may not realize it now, but your teachers and guardians are on your side. Being hateful towards them will not solve any of your problems. Also, never forget to tell your loved ones that you love them; you can never truly tell a person you love them too much. You never know what you have until it is gone. Be present. When I was in elementary school, I could not wait for middle school. When I was in middle school, I could not wait for high school.
