A man-made drug called Flakka, started in florida but is now growing in the U.S and could lead to permanent damage or death. Flakka is more dangerous than cocaine but can cause a similar high to it. Flakka contains a chemical that is a close cousin to MDPV, a key ingredient in "bath salts." News stories have blamed flakka for incidents of extreme violence, paranoid psychoses, compulsive nudity, zombie-like behavior and even “superhuman strength.” In order to understand Flakka, it is important to learn about the symptoms of the drug, the effects of it and how to treat it. There are many symptoms of Flakka that are either internal or external. The following are symptoms of Flakka; Alertness, Aberrant and 'bizarre ' behavior, Delirium or intense confusion, Psychotic symptoms, and delusions. Hyperactivity is another symptoms of the drug that makes you mindless and very over active and uncontrollable. Flakka like most drugs cause hallucinations, that appear to be real but created in your mind. The long-term effects of the drug are; the drug being toxic to the kidneys and cause renal failure to the body. The short-term effects of Flakka are; Euphoric sensations, Rapid heart rate and palpitations, Increase in blood pressure, and alertness. A very common short-term effect is aggressive behavior which causes one to lose their mind and that can cause physical or emotional harm to others. These side effects can last a few 3-4 hours or can liger to several days. It is often taken while the user is already high on “flakka”—a practice known as snacking—or cut with other drugs such as heroin, cocaine or marijuana, often leading to additional serious health
