My generation has been given many gifts from America. America is the land of the brave, we don’t get scared. Out of a numerous amount of gifts, I have three that I have chosen. My favorite gift would be freedom. My next one would be independence. The last one out of my favorite three would be an army. “Freedom is not given to us by anyone; we have to cultivate it ourselves. It is a daily practice” -Thich Nhat Hehn. Freedom is one of my favorite gifts because we have the right to vote and pick who we wish to pick, and not be forced to pick a certain candidate. We have independence in America because we have control of ourselves, and no one else has control of us. Finally, freedom is my favorite gift because we have the right of choice. Independence is also one of my favorite gifts from America because we have authority. We choose our own decisions. We also have independence on picking schools. No one has the right to tell us whether to go to a catholic or public school. Also, we have independence on beliefs in which we can pick our own religion, and we are not forced to pick one.
