The second farmer, who introduced his name a David, explained that if he was married and he was separated from his wife he would be scared. Harrison explained the current problem, asking the second farmers opinion of with fork he should take. He explained he could not remember what fork he took though cannot afford to waste time by exploring all four of the forks. The second farmer explained that Harris should not take one of the forks alone, though suggested that he would help Harris look. The second farmer explained that he would go down one of the forks while his brother went down another one. Harris was pleased with David’s idea, however, pointed out that there was one more fork that would go unchecked. Harris asks the first farmer, who introduces himself as Brian if he could aid in checking the last fork, explaining how much he would appreciate it if he could. Though, the Brian, a master in negation, explains that he will help if after Harrison finds his wife, they both help him on his farm. Harris thinks about this offer, skeptical being he didn’t expect to stay for too long. However the eagerness he experiences persuaded him to agree to the terms. Before Harris leaves to go through his path he shows the “search party” a picture of Mrs. Harris. The group agreed to meet at David’s house at seven PM, with or without Mrs.
