Hieronymus Bosch was born in Netherlands and was originally named Jeron Anthonissen Van Aken.
Not a lot of information about Bosch’s life, he was known as “The Mysterious Artist”.
It was predicted that he was born in 1450, although that is still a prediction and not a fact.
Bosch’s dad was named Anthonius Van Aken
Brother named Goessen Van Aken another brother named Jan Van Aken and his mother Aleid Van Der Mynnen
Bosch comes from an artistic family. HIs father, uncle, and brothers were painters too.

it is divided into 3 parts which is called a “Triptych”.
The Haywain Triptych: This masterpiece combines 3 different places into one and makes the overall artwork look prepossessing. The left side of the artwork is the garden of Eden, the middle one is Earth and the one on the right represents hell. it took Bosch five years to paint the Haywain Triptych. A Triptych contains three different artworks combined into one.
The Seven deadly sins: To me, this is probably one of my favorite artwork of Bosch’s. This painting has a very deep and meaningful theme. there are seven boxes showing an abstract representation of the seven deadly sins. Bosch created this in 1485.
Death and the Miser: One of the weirder artworks by Bosch. Death and the miser is now held in the national gallery of art museum in Washington D.C. Death and the miser shows a visual representation of the life of a miser and his last minutes before death. this artwork started at 1485 and ended in 1490.
Ship of Fools: I would call this painting a beautiful mystery. This particular artwork is now at Musee Du Luvree. This is painting has a very abstract yet confusing message. It shows people sitting on a boat that is stuck and the people are trying to move the
