This world has a lot of problems. Humanity is troubled with many difficulties; war, disease, racism, slanted politicians, and a general hatred for other people, but one major problem that destroys the notion of the United States of America being the greatest country in the world is the numbness we have towards those who are poor and hungry. Many people think that it’s impossible to fix this huge problem, but in reality poverty and hunger levels can be at least managed and deserve to be evaluated.

People who live in poverty need all the help they can get to provide for their families, so even the littlest things count. To start, one can donate to fish family, Carriage Town, volunteer food banks, donate money, food and other essentials that could reduce the strain on a reduced income, and some neighborhoods even have community gardens that allow for people to grow their own foods. Furthermore, there are a multitude of organizations set up to help with supplying to the poor. A few are Children's Hunger Alliance, FoodCorps, and Bread for the World. Children Hunger Alliance helps after school programs feed young kids snacks. It teaches kids and caretakers how to eat healthy and stay active. It also ensures that kids can access meals even when school's out of session. FoodCorps teaches kids about healthy eating. Children get the opportunity to learn how to grow their own food. It increases kids opinions on healthy eating. 7 in 10 kids who goes through the 3.4 hours of education gain positive opinions on healthy eating. Bread for the World helps provide food for families in need, helps jobless people get jobs through their employment programs, and fights adverse change the federal policies involving the poor and various support
