All these points I think made the united states a country in which we’re all proud to be a part of. Our past is what made the united states the great nation it is today. I think the Louisiana purchase was a very big part of making this nation so great. The Louisiana purchase helped increase the U.S. giving people access to more land and in contrast with that it helped the U.S. grow as a nation. If the Louisiana purchase had never happened our government wouldn’t be as sturdy and there would still be territories instead of states. He played a very significant part of making our nation better. The civil war I think played the biggest part in defining our nation. The civil war started because they didn’t know if a state had the right to split from the union. However, it sort of altered more into freeing the slaves and conserving the union. At this time Abraham Lincoln was the president and enforced the ending of slavery until he was later assassinated. He also wanted the united states to be whole instead of being two different nation. I think Abraham Lincoln was the main voice that started the civil rights movement. It derived after he was assassinated but he started it all I think. The supreme court played a vast part in it. Their part came in a court case in which they recognized the rule of judicial review. However, this Is not stated in the constitution. The power of judicial review gives the supreme court the capability to declare congressional pieces to be unofficial.
