Noise Nuisance in University’s Dormitories “Anymore, no one 's mind is their own. You can 't concentrate. You can 't think. There 's always some noise worming in. Singers shouting.Dead people laughing.Actors crying.All these little doses of emotion. Someone 's always spraying the air with their mood.” (Chuck Palahniuk, Lullaby 2002). When you live in a dormitory especially university’s dormitory that filled with college students, noise nuisance is unavoidable. Noise nuisance may occur anytime day or night even midnight and daybreak. The noise sources are people’s voices, gadget,television, even motorcycles. When you had a tiring day in campus and all you want is rest peacefully in your dorm, but it hard to do because your fellow tenants is very noisy. Its only upsetting at first but when they do it most of the time you will lack of sleep then its affects your health. Research has shown that unwanted sound is most annoying at the times when people expect to rest or sleep, that it can interrupt or delay sleep, and that it can have subtle effects on sleep, such as causing shifts from deeper to lighter sleep stages. Hume said that the research is pretty solid that noise can prevent people from getting a good night’s sleep. He believed that sleep deprivation can give negative health effects when it becomes a chronic problem.In addition noises disturbing other people who want to study.
