The insurance system is required for the vast majority of working age people and their families in the United States, but it leaves gaps for some because small employers or low-wage workers find it hard to afford the premiums because insurance costs are high relative to their incomes and it is rising rapidly.
Since President Barack Obama officially received the U.S. presidency in 2009, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was also launched. Up to now, it is still one of the most controversial issue in this country.
Before Obamacare, it is estimated that 40 million Americans have no health insurance, at 14% of the population. The reason is insurance cost here is supposed to be the most expensive.
