Oklahoma State Report Sometimes, when people think of Oklahoma, set aside from its monuments, mountain chains, and national parks, they ask, how big is Oklahoma? Well here’s your answer. Oklahoma isn’t one of the big states but neither is it one of the small states. So let’s say it is a mediocre sized state with a size of 69,903 square miles. In Oklahoma, land type varies, there are mountains like the Wichita mountains, Plains like the High plains and more other landforms and names. Oklahoma’s state seal, flag, flower, bird, and capital, all have a meaning. Oklahoma’s state seal was put for many significant and remarkable reasons, but my favorite reason is this, the state seal was made to define their motto, Labor Omnia Vincit, which means that Labor Conquers All Things. I really like this because it means that when you work hard, you may conquer anything. Now, the state flag. My favorite part of that is that the flag honors more than the 60 indian tribes and ancestors who lived before them. There's really no deep facts about Oklahoma’s state flower but, it was introduced to be the state flag in 1963-1964. In 1951 oklahoma accepted the Scissor-tailed flycatcher as their state bird because of it’s significance. The population of these birds are okay, but they are rarely seen in Oklahoma. Finally, Oklahoma’s state capitol. Oklahoma’s state capital is Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City has many points of interest and it is also the home of the NBA basketball team Oklahoma City Thunder. During 1995 bombing, the American Elm tree almost died but survived the tragic moment. That tree is now a state
