“There’s probably no experience more alienating than fame, other than a terminal illness, where you actually find yourself in a situation that nobody around you can relate to, (Diablo Cody). Having a terminal illness can make you feel alone in life and it is something that people around you just do not understand. Physician-assisted suicide is when someone wants to end their life with lethal substances with aide of a physician. People argue on whether or not it should be legal to do so. It should be talked about more so the people who are suffering can get a voice on their opinion. Physician-assisted suicide should be legal for terminally ill patients because the patients should be able to decide when the pain is too much.

It can help patients make the tough decision and know what they are asking for. It will make it easier on the patient and family. The patient can make their own choice after learning about what they are asking for. The patient should be able to make their own choice and no one in the medical staff is supposed to try and influence the patient (Campbell 5). The patients get to make their own choice and decide what they want to do. They will not have to worry about staff members abusing their power. The patient needs to be able to make their own choice. If a patient is of sound mind and wants assisted suicide then they should be able to make that choice (Bahney 2). Patients should feel safer knowing it is ultimately their choice. They can back out of that choice at anytime. If assisted suicide is legal it will not force patients to take their own lives. Patients have taken their own lives in fear of what will become of them later in their illness and fear that no one would be able to help them (Rogatz 32). Legalizing assisted suicide can make it safer for the patient and family. It gives them less of a chance at failure and causing more problems. Informing the patients on the topic would make it safer for
