What does it mean to pray in the spirit? We are told by Apostle Paul, that praying in the spirit is communicating with God in another language. It’s a language that we do not know in our mind and cannot comprehend, but God understands. This is a language given to us by God when we receive the Holy Spirit. We cannot understand it unless God gives us an interpretation of what was communicated between our spirit and himself. Praying in the spirit is important to a Christians because it enables our spirit man to communicate with God where the devil cannot understand. Praying in the spirit can also be used to endow an individual with the power of God to go out and do the will of the Father.

All you must do is open your heart to receive the Holy Spirit and then you will be a part of this supernatural life of the Spirit. The power of the spirit can be felt, seen, and heard. “having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, WHICH YE NOW SEE AND HEAR” (Acts 2:33). The power of praying in the spirit amplifies everything you are and everything God has created you to be. Miracles are the supernatural demonstration of the sheer power of God. God has the power to heal people from any ailment, the spirit can lift people up, he can take all pain and hurt, and will fill peoples’ souls with joy and peace. You don’t have to be like Jacob who wrestled with God to receive the power of the spirit, all you must do is accept Jesus into your heart and the Holy Spirit will endow you with power. That power is a power that can be seen, heard and felt and God demonstrates it through his children and for his
