Malaysia is a democratic country with a plural society of different races. Ethnic groups in Malaysia are free to practice their own culture. Malaysians are encouraged to be respectful and do not affect the sensitivity of the racist. Diversity is making Malaysia a unique country because people of various races, religions and cultures can live in peace and harmony under one roof governance. This is because, understanding between people is essential to ensure harmony in the country. Norms is how to behave in a given situation follows the standard behaviors of every society. Norms represent something different for every community, so do not necessarily have the same norms of a society with other society. There are norms that govern our lives every day. Folkways is one of the norms. Folkways is a custom practiced every day to represent a society. Folkways norms based not be implemented strictly. Usually do not involve significant and does not usually have serious consequences. Examples of folkways is manners when eating at the table. The next norms is the Mores (mor-rays). Mores means "manners" in French. Mores are strict norms that control moral and ethical behavior. Mores are norms based on definitions of right and wrong. Unlike folkways, mores are morally significant. Morays have serious consequences if violated - ranging from open disapproval to arrest and imprisonment. Most mores become law that must be followed. Example, you do not expose your genitals in public. A taboo is a norm that has been rooted in the community. Sometimes it caused resentment to individuals who do not practice it.
