Drugs in South America

South America is the continent with the most drug trafficking and/or drug use. They are second to Mexico in carrying illegal narcotics. I believe drug trafficking is a major problem. South America isn 't a continent with extra money. Each drug cartel spend up to $100-500 a week. That is extra money South America could be using to fix issues such as housing.

Drugs have many effects. Having effects on you, the environment, other citizens, the economy and money. Making the majority of drug effects bad. Illegal drugs are categorized into three different sections.

Hallucinogens include Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, Magic Mushrooms, MDMA, and Phencyclidine. These drugs will do things such as modify your perception of reality causing the hallucination.

Drug Effects on the Environment and Other Citizens

Drugs have an effect on the environment in many different ways. There is both good and bad effects from this. The only good effect that drugs have on the environment is increasing a few different plants growth. Although there is many bad effects from drugs. The most important one being contaminating our water systems (natural or man made) and the plant growth. The use for water and plants that have been contaminated is slim to no use.

In most areas of South America there is a dire need for water. People of all ages are not getting the necessary nutrients for their body because drugs are contaminating the things that give them the nutrients. There is a way to reduce the risk of things getting contaminated by drugs but it is extremely expensive. South America can not afford to do so. The best way for these things not to be contaminated is by not planting drugs anymore. Cut down all of the sources for drugs, whether it be from the ground, or from other
