I am writing to you to let you know the effects and consequences of using the atomic bomb on Japan. Hopefully, after reading this letter, you will consider not using the atomic bomb on Japan.
All this tension started with the Pacific Theater. The war conditions as of July 1945 caused by the Pacific Theater was awful. The United States and Japan was in war with each other. The Japanese government were focused on the idea that death is better than defeat. They used this code to present war as death as a duty. The Germans surrendered in the European Theater, but the Japanese would not surrender during the Pacific Theater. Many wars were started because of the Japanese stubbornness. Therefore, the Japanese navy were taken down. This war was significant because it removed the Japanese navy as a hostile power in the war.
During the Battle of Iwo Jima, both Japanese and American were in strong need of this island. In between this place there was land that the Americans wanted as an air base to attack Japan. At the island, the United States troops stormed the beached with air raid flying overhead. These air raids, however, had insignificant effect due to underground structures. After one month of fighting, Americans took Iwo Jima.
The Battle of Okinawa of 1945 was the last battle before the invasion of Japan. After a long campaign of island hopping, the Allies approached Japan and planned to use Okinawa as a base for air operations. The Japanese planned to allow the Americans to land but then they held the southern part of the island and destroyed the offshore vessels. Due to the fierceness of the war and the power of the kamikaze attacks from Japan, this combat was one of the bloodiest wars in the Pacific.
