Even though television shows more African American professionals and portraying negative images about other races, they are still showing more negative images about African Americans. The time is flying and it has been nearly 50 years after the civil right movement, and African Americans were able to step forward for their rights that all Americans have. A racial segregation is hardly ever found in 2015, however, discrimination against African Americans still exist in America. It is true that we get to see African American professional workers like doctors, a president, lawyers, judges, and other jobs with outstanding reputations, and this is very unlike situation compared to roles of African Americans on TV in 1980s.
