Tone: The tone of this poem seems to be a person who enjoyed listening to the sound of the calm sea at night. As he is standing by the window , he is seeing the tide getting fuller by the moment. The fact that he mentions the moon out at night makes the scenery even more beautiful. He says, listen ! hear the grating roar of pebbles( colorful rocks)which the waves draw back, and throw. The sound of the seas returns, up the high *strand, (*land at the edge of a body of water) ,After the crashing of the sea hitting against the of the water '' it stops , and then begins again repeatedly doing it again. How beautiful and peaceful it is to just stop and listen for a moment so there is understanding. I honestly enjoyed this poem a lot. At first I didn't really understand what I was doing, but I broke it down in my own words and I was able to grasp it. This poem gave me a peaceful heart as I was trying to brake it down to what it was trying to get me to understand. My heart was calm and with happiness and a little bit of sadness also. This poem made me paint a picture in my mind. At the ending of this poem was very clear to me. With the thought of loving and being true to one another, even though it might take some time but sooner than later the truth has to be spoken. The world basically is like us with many dreams, so many beautiful people, and carries most of our pain.The world is our own picture to look at every night we go to bed and every morning we have to wake up and face challenges everyday, but with the help of many families, and friends the job can be accomplished. It may be confusing at first but you have to wan't to move farther to find out more information to advance to the next station. If we don't stick together as a foundation then we will crash together. Anyways so this is what I got out of this
