The book that I read was the veldt, written by Ray Bradbury. The parents of Peter and Lydia decide to shut off the nursery because of how it has been acting up lately. The kids don’t take this news well and decide to trick their parents and lock them inside the nursery to be killed by the room. Ray Bradbury is an American author who has written many books including one of his most popular books called Fahrenheit 451. This book is science fiction similar to many of Ray’s other books. This book was written during a time period when technology was just being introduced, this could explain why the book shows technology as a bad thing.

In this story, there are 4 main characters George, Lydia, Peter, and Wendy. George is the main protagonist and Peter is the main antagonist. George is the typical husband in the era that this book was written, He only wants the best for his family, that is why he got the nursery. The main conflict involves George shutting down the nursery, he does this because he fears the nursery is making his kids evil.
