We all have dreams. Dreams that we believe will happen, but deep down we doubt that. Do you think all dreams can be accomplished? In the novella Of Mice of Men by John Steinbeck, Steinbeck tells a story about two men who are trying to accomplish “ a dream”. These two men are not like the rest. Lennie and George the total opposite of each other have this fantasy of having a farm. But, what makes this dream of theirs, even more unrealistic is the friendship they have. George and Lennie have a true friendship. They have a true friendship because they always got each others back and they do what’s right for each other.

Well there is more proof. Lennie did something really horrible. He killed Curley’s wife. Lennie remembered what George told him. George told him to go in the brush if he ever did something bad. So, Lennie went to the brush. George had a choice to let Lennie get lynched or get captured in jail. George didn’t want any of that. So to stop Lennie from getting in more trouble he killed Lennie. Steinbeck wrote “ But I got you and” then Lennie says “And’ I got you.” Lennie finished his sentence because George was trying not to think about what he was going to do. He didn’t want Lennie to get killed, but he didn’t want him in a jail cell like an animal. So he just wanted him to be at peace where he will hurt no one. They have a true friendship. They did what was the best for them even though they knew something's would be hard for them to do. George and Lennie really have something special. They always have each others back and they do what’s right for each other. Nowadays there isn’t a lot of friendship like that. They are so rare that we need to treasure our friendship just like Lennie and George. True Friendship means you’ll do anything for them even if it
