Should the federal government's decision not to make Providence Canyon a National Park? My opinion is that they should make a Providence Canyon a National Park. It is good for tourism, education, and environment. My first reason is tourism because you can go hiking, economic boost, tourist. The economic boost is basically money. If you have to pay to get in then that is more money for the government. Many people would pay to look for adventure with there family to spend time with each other. Hiking would be good because most people would love to see the Grand Canyon. It is so beautiful by the minerals that was mixed together into new colors from the erosion. While you hike you may see woodpeckers, wild turkeys, warblers, white-tailed deer, armadillos, raccoons, red foxes, and grey squirrels. That would be cool for little kids to see and you will make profit off that. A tourist is a person who travels around the world. If there is a tourist, they might want to stop and explore the grand canyon. That is making more money then anybody has ever made in there life. Most people learn things in school about erosion and what it does. Do you think they would like to go to the Grand Canyon to explore what erosion can do? Erosion is basically wind blowing minerals together and forming something beautiful. At the grand Canyon it had formed 43 colors. In paragraph 7 it states, "The sand in Providence Canyon comes in a palette of colors: deep pumpkin orange, mustard ochre yellow, fiery red, sugar-white kaolin, pale pink, dusty lavender, and misty grey. Scientists have counted a grand total of 43 different colors of sand in all." There are so many colors that kids didn't even know that exist. If they go to the Grand Canyon they can learn new things.
