Jesus, Gonzalo Mrs. Qualle ELA 8 3/6/23 College Shouldn’t Be Free There’s a reason college is expensive and needed. Many people say that making college free would ruin its purpose and its economy. Students shouldn't get free college education because many people would be able to get in by limiting the limit to the point where people can't get in and the college would not get many funds. Many people would get into college. Many people wouldn't take it seriously, and other people wouldn't get in because of something called a limit. In the article "Don't ruin college by making it free," it states, "we stand to lose far more money in implementing free college." The college would need the money in order to expand by building more buildings, and they wouldn't get it if it were free. By not expanding hers, she will not be able to enroll because it will be full. A lot of students don't care about college and don´t take it seriously, wasting their education. A reason why college shouldn’t be free is because the school would need money for bills and to keep buildings in good condition. It would also need money for a good education. College should not be free because, among other things, they need to build new buildings.
