Would the united states work as a civilized county without a government? The answer is no, there would be no higher authority to control people, economy and regulations. With sovereign does the laziness of people decrease? Yes, because when consequences are in tact people will accomplish more of their responsibilities. Ergo, they will not have to face those consequences. In Lord of the flies a book written by William Golding about young children surviving on a deserted island with no adults. Since there is no adults on the island, nobody can control the kids.They are lazy and are not always on task, which is why regulations need to be in place at all times. This idea leads to people holding things off to the side and being lazy. Without a strict government tasks would not be accomplished.
