As elite athletes, which members of the AFL definitely are, an elite athlete is meant to know whats being put into their own bodies. Not knowing whats being put into your body, or in this case, whats being injected into your body, Is like a car company not knowing what car parts are being put into a car, . The members of essendon shouldn’t have taken the drugs in the first place. Every serious athlete looks for an edge but an "edge" doesn 't mean cheating - in the same way walking into a bank doesn 't mean you 're going to rob it. Medical records were not kept in place as the essendon players are regulated to do, per treatment they acquire. The players had all receieved education in anti doping.
