In criminal justice there are rules and principles that need to be followed in order to help when in a position of having to make a difficult decision. Ethical considerations are essential when having to make decisions based on discretion, force and due process. Knowing the importance of ethics will help a person to analyze and determine whether their actions are of moral standards. For example an investigator has to make sure that before he/she is entering a crime scene that they remain non-bias and open minded.
