Thank you for your feedback Social workers will be faced with many ethical dilemmas and must decide what is best for their clients. The code of ethics provides social workers with information on clients’ right to privacy and confidentiality and only broken in case of self-harm or harm to others. Ashley Miller (2017) found that another common ethical dilemma encountered by both novice and experienced social workers is the right to confidentiality versus the right to self-determination, especially in cases of suicidal clients. Social workers must respect a client's right to privacy and confidentiality, and they may not disclose information about a client without his prior, written consent (Miller, 2107). I agree that as social workers we must enhance the client to their self-determination by addressing their own needs. It is very crucial to maintain communication because it is the best way to find out about the clients’ culture in order help them the best way possible.
