In the memoir Night by Ellie Wiesel, the protagonist Eliezer is a fifteen-year old Jewish boy who lives in Sighet, Transylvania until he is deported away to Natzi Concentration camps with his mother, father and sister. Beaten by SS officers, forced to run long journeys in treacherous climates and even getting close to being killed by his own inmates, each day Elie stays strong to his desire of coming out alive.
