An icon or logo can can easily and symbolically alter what a brand means to its customers (Gardener 9). With both a psychological and physical mindstate, the Windows logo is easily one of the most iconic and visually satisfying logos in the world. With this statement, a logo also can both physically and psychologically represent, not only the company and its history, but also the customer. Logos are windows for the consumers eyes to read the history and meaning of a company, and Windows has literally created this concept through actually making their logo a window. The Windows logo is also simply designed, but uniquely thought of. This design is one that will be imprinted in the human mind forever in the history books. The logo consists of a window, not a flag as many mistake it to be, with four window panes, with a white cross intersecting them(“Design” 1-2). This quadrant with the cross are associated with the elements of earth and land (“Design 1”). Every aspect of the logo also has both a literal and psychological meaning in its creation also. A reimagined Windows logo can often lead to the inference of a new, reimagined world or society.
