Essay The U.S has the highest percentage of guns to people than anywhere else is the world. This can bring up issues on gun control, which this argumentative article is about. There is a lot of people that thing guns need better controlling but this article is trying to reach out the the younger generation and show them that guns aren't as bad as many make them seem to be. This article uses very heavy logos and pathos to try to persuade the reader how guns are not bad for people to have. The article uses very heavy logos on the readers to try to show them that guns are not bad. For example, “Guns don't shoot other people or things in this world. People do.” This argument is very effective because of its meaning. Just because people have guns does not mean that they are going to use them to kill and to hurt, but as defense. The author is very persuasive with his uses of logos to make the readers feel like trying to keep us from guns is just absurd and unconstitutional. Pathos are used to persuade the readers through using their feelings as a passageway to convey a point. In this article the author uses statements and facts about former presidents and the constitution to make people feel like they are entitled to guns and not to shy away from that right. In this statement “ Guns can help you protect your rights, family and loved ones that you would never wanna see hurt”, it heavily inflicts your emotions. This statement makes you feel like you need the guns to stop people from hurting your loved ones who you would never wanna see in any sort of pain or agony.
