In the past, scientists, psychologist, and biologist have tried to discover ways to create the world in a way that is pleasurable to everyone. Soon, the term eugenics derived. Eugenics can be defined as a concept that allowed sterilization of individuals who were genetically “unfit” or “unwanted.” In some countries, this term was used as a way to eliminate human beings because they were not as superior as the others. With the terrible knowledge associated with this term, it vanished for centuries, but it has once resurfaced with a different name. Genetic is the new term for eugenics, which led to the creation of the gene therapy. The gene therapy is an experiment which inserts a gene into a patient’s cells to prevent or treat diseases or birth defects. With the development of the gene therapy, eugenics is taking place again but in a different form. According to Deborah Ummel, supporters of eugenicists continue to maintain that reducing the poor, the elderly, and other inferior humans is modern and progressive. Additionally, she stated that legal abortions, chorionic villus sampling, and non-invasive prenatal tests have enabled parents to abort their unborn if the unborn have defects or is an unwanted gender. The gene therapy has created ways to stop some creation of children, such as the creation of birth control. The world is ever changing, and technology is becoming more prominent. Multiple technology inventions will enhance the gene applications to discover the personality of an infant as early as contraception. If the personality is not considered “desirable,” the option to alter the personality is available because of the gene application
