The unknown day of the last day of life Some people don’t think that one of these days they will have to end their life. Although, nobody wants to think about ending their life they still have to make the decision whether or not to make a decision on what to do with their life. This is called Euthanasia “ the act or practice of killing someone who is very sick or injured in order to prevent any more suffering” (Merriam-Webster). There’s two type of euthanasia, active and passive. Passive euthanasia is when a person stops taking antibiotics that are prescribed by the doctor that makes them healthy or keeps them alive. Active euthanasia is when the doctor or someone else intervenes to end someone’s life. In this article “Euthanasia and assisted suicide” it says, “ In some countries the law is less clear, with some forms of assisted suicide and passive euthanasia legal and active euthanasia illegal” (Euthanasia and assisted suicide). This means that the doctor or someone else cannot assist a person to commit suicide, which in this article it says that in these types of countries this action declares it illegal. Its legal for the person to stop taking his or hers medication that maintain them healthy and alive, which this is another form of ending their life. During my research I was actually interested by reading this article because usually when it comes to being euthanized you actually think about a person with a deadly disease or even a person committing suicide. This article proves my opinion wrong, in fact it say “Inhalant agents it takes longer for them to die reptile, amphibians, diving bird and burrowing animals…” and continues saying ‘Inhalant anesthetics are useful for small animals” (The Merck Veterinary Manual) I’m guessing that their different ways an animal can be euthanized according to their
