Euthanasia: is it wrong? What do you think?
There are many types of euthanasia; voluntary euthanasia is carried out by request with the full knowledge and consent of the person that dies. You also have non-voluntary euthanasia, that’s where you end the life of a person in their best interest, when they are incapable of giving permission themselves. Finally, we have assisted suicide. It’s when an individual is unable to take their own life, maybe due to paralysis, they get someone else to help them commit suicide.

It’s illegal in ALL other parts of the world. Religion plays a key part into why euthanasia is illegal; all Muslims are against euthanasia, the Qur’an says suicide is wrong – “Do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction.” Euthanasia is murder and murder is banned in the Qur’an, only Allah has the right to take life. Similarly in The Holy Bible it says – “God created life, so only God can end it. Life is a gift from God.” All Christians are supposed to be against euthanasia. Despite the anger felt by religious groups, some support the benefits of euthanasia.
In the medical field giving patients lifesaving drugs can get expensive, some humans believe that people should just euthanize those in a vegetative state. Being in a vegetative state means that they can’t move or do anything, sufferers can’t even speak all they can do is look around inside the stiff, immobile body. Some people argue that it’s against the doctor’s job, they are meant to save lives and not end them. The ethical dilemma may lead to doctors feeling obligated to go against their
