A case study helps a single researcher locate highly valuable and rare facts about one single person or social group. Case studies are mostly used within the medical or psychology fields. The case study method gathers comprehensive data about what happens to, or allows revisiting the case history of a single member or a small community.
Defining Case Study
The analysis of one single person, group of people, life occurrence or historical event is called a case study. A case study facilitates and reveals information about the overall life history of a particular individual, such as, their medical history, learning and behavioral development, criminal account, and historical object.
Case Study Method
A case study approach is used by many researchers to evaluate questions and details about a person’s existence or an event. Case studies allow for a broad inspection of chronological life experience and personal behavioral blueprint. Some other examples, forensic examiner use a case study to evaluate the criminal patterns of a serial killer.
