"Everyday Use" by Alice Walker is the first short story that was read, and I did an oral presentation on Alice Walker. This short story relates to real lif situations, it reflects on the aspects of things, people experience in their daily lives. The main characters, Mama, Dee, and Maggie faces conflicts and struggles with issues like family, heritage, confidence, appearance, identity, African- American culture and the struggles within self.
