Everything Everything The adult novel Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon has many meaning that has to relate with a girl named “Madeline Whittier” who told that she was sick her whole life. Due to her condition, she is believed that she can’t go outside or she would die. In addition, Madeline has a nurse called “ Carla” and her mother which they are always stuck inside the Los Angeles house with Madeline. This 18 year old girl suffers from SCID or it can be known as the “bubble baby disease”. Her life is involved with her mother, father and brother. The problem was that when she was four months old her dad and brother had died in a car accident. After some time, a new family moves in next door. Olly, the boy next door, and Madeline starts to text online. Madeline knew that she had to meet him in real life, but she couldn’t go to his house, he had to come to her house. It had happened since Madeline had fell in love with him and from knowing Olly too well. Madeline’s mother found out that something was up and knew that whatever Olly and Madeline was up to had to stop. Even though, Madeline’s mother bans from seeing Olly, they text and they both end up going to Hawaii together. The only reason why it was possible was by convincing Olly that she was on a new type of medicine and she wouldn’t get sick. But the next day, Madeline gets sick and ends up the hospital. After a few weeks, the doctor that treated Madeline in Hawaii looked at the test results and knew that she didn’t have SCID and got sick because she was never really was out in the outside world. Madeline panics and yells at her mother if she really had the disease, her mother didn’t give her a real answer. Within this horrible time, Olly leaves his father and moves back to New York with his mother and sister. Nonetheless, in the end Olly and Madeline
