Evidence Based Practice And Framework In Research

Framework and Model Importance Frameworks and models are important in guiding evidence-based practice. These systems establish strategies to determine resources, identify barriers, conduct research, implement barriers, and guide processes. They ensure safety, reduce costs, and promote a sustainable health care system. Theories and frameworks are used to understand and explain factors that influence efforts to reduce low-value care, inform research priorities, and the development of targeted strategies and interventions (Parker et al, 2022). Models guide and design the implementation to strengthen evidence-based decision making, helping clinicians make a change in practice. Framework and model include identifying a problem, addressing a need, …show more content…

Insight gained through practice changes can also lead to additional learning opportunities, making it a continuous, dynamic process (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2022). The Johns Hopkins Model provides nurses with a systematic approach incorporating research findings into clinical decision-making to improve patient care. It enables continuous monitoring of outcomes and identifies areas for improvement. The goal of this model is to ensure that research findings and practices are incorporated into patient care. This framework is relevant to my project because it has a problem-solving approach to clinical …show more content…

The responsibility for the project leader will consist of conflict resolution, establishing project scope and guidelines, reporting to stakeholders, planning, and implementing, and finally reviewing and monitoring progress. Stakeholders for the project will include patients, nurses, clinicians, management, administration, and policy makers. Through teamwork and collaboration, bedside shift reports can be implemented as a standard of care. This process can benefit both the patient and nurse; patients will remain safe and free from harm as nurses round to the bedside. Nurses have a better understanding of their patients through visualization and communication. Secondly, conducting research based evidence findings. It is integral to summarize and synthesis findings, for example, research concluded that handoff reports are an integral aspect of the nursing profession. This is the exchange of information, responsibility, and accountability. This is to ensure continuous care and safety to improve patient outcomes. Patients feel a greater sense of involvement and improved satisfaction when nurses give bedside reports rather than shift-to-shift reports in the nurses’ station (Grimshaw et al, 2020). In bedside reports, patients are
