I am doing my research project over trucks, I’m showing how they have changed over the years. 1975 was the year Silverado was introduced as a trim package. 1981 brought about auto-locking hubs which was very popular with truck enthusiasts. The year of 1984 was the year the body style of trucks started changing. In 2001 GMC started making heavy duty models. The first ever chevy truck was sold for $2,150. The first Chevrolet was introduced in 1953. The chevy was not very easy selling in the beginning but in 2010 they were selling a truck/ car every 7.4 seconds. They used to have to do it manually by hand. Now people have electric starts and they used to have to crank start their trucks. The trucks back in the day would only go so fast. Trucks today can go a lot faster and can go farther without having to get gas, or it breaking down, or tired going bad. The tires on trucks today have more thread and traction. Today the tires people put on trucks are black, or any other color they could find. Trucks back in the day had one color of rims for all trucks. Today there are square body trucks Newer body style, and older body style. Trucks only had one type of body style back in the day. On the dashboard where the speedometer and gas gauge and everything else used to be all arrows and trucks today still have there but some have digital gauges. Radios in old trucks only had certain channels and had nothing digital whatsoever. They had to turn a knob to get from station to station. Today some radios in trucks have a complete touch screen, some have buttons to press to get from station to station. Today trucks have short beds, or long beds, extended cab or crew cab.
