Experiences that have influenced your interest in nursing-
As a young adult, I have always been fascinated by the healthcare industry. However, it wasn't until I had a few experiences that I realized I wanted to pursue a career in nursing. These experiences have shaped my perspective and instilled a deep passion for providing care and support to those in need.
One of the most significant experiences that influenced my interest in nursing was when I had to care for my grandmother who was diagnosed with a stroke. I was devastated when I heard the news, but I knew I had to be strong for her. I happen to promote the health ,safety and well being of individuals. As a DSP I served as an advocate for individuals in communicating their needs and goals. I assisted in bathing, cooking and light housekeeping, I also administered their medications. Another experience that influenced my interests in Nursing was when my son was diagnosed with neonatal jaundice ,and had to go through blood exchange,I must admit it was the most hardest time for me. During that time I had the opportunity to observe the nurses in action and learn about the various aspects of their work. I was impressed by their ability to multitask and manage complex situations,while still maintaining a high level of care and professionalism. They were able to provide me comfort and support during that difficult time, and their work was highly appreciated.
Overall, these experiences have helped me to appreciate that nursing is not just a profession, but a calling. It requires a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and compassion to be
