The best examples of current event-based articles include emotion and feeling in the text through the use of pathos. The more emotion the author gives in the text, the more chances of the audience wanting to take action, and thus makes a superior article. Agbemabiese does just that when writing his article, probably even more. When Agbemabiese writes his article, he uses a good amount of pathos in order to express emotion and feeling to his audience when describing the issues pertaining to the Ghanaian education reform. Agbemabiese makes certain that what he writes doesn’t sound boring or less interesting like a dictionary. But the best ones are those that make the audience emit a certain emotion or feeling so that they would care about this information and take action. Thus, this is how Agbemabiese’s article is better in terms of rhetorical appeals than Kuyini’s. While Agbemabiese may have a feel mistakes in his article regarding misspellings, and errors in punctuation, Agbemabiese’s audience somehow looks past that and understand how important the information regarding Ghana’s education reform is to him and why they should know that. Kuyini just gives out the information in his article and gives no reason as to why the information is important to him and, why his audience should know why it’s important. Because of this, Agbemabiese’s article is more interesting to read than Kuyini’s article. Agbemabiese’s article is better, because not only does he explain why the information is important to him, but he also steps out of his comfort zone in order to tell his audience how real of a person he is and how he’s an ordinary person just like them who wants to spread the word about this information to other people. Now, that’s the way in order to get people to take
