Today I sit and ponder on what kind of America are my children growing up in and what kind of America are we going to see for our grandchildren and future generations. Let’s be honest, we have neighborhoods and cities terrorized by home grown gangs and gangs that have moved in from other countries. Just a month ago a nine year old boy was brutally executed by a gang in Chicago and now to complicate our concerns, we are constantly wondering when the “sleeper cells” of Islamic terrorist in America are going to awaken, if not already, and are we going to be a nation like Israel who constantly lives under some form of attack on a daily scale. It is time we call for transformation and decisive leadership where needed, to let our leaders know that we are educated in the facts and that we demand something to be done, and whatever you do, do not accept that this violence is just the way it is and is going to be. Listen, I decided that if I am going to go down, I am going to go down swinging and at least let my next generation know that some ideas and dreams are worth fighting for! So on the grand scale of what we face, we are obligated to our next generation to ensure that our voices are heard and our votes are counted! On the personal level, I have decided to make a difference in my world, where I live and with the people I encounter. I’ve decided to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without fear, to promote the power and the glory of God among us, and to live a Christian life with love, joy and peace. Each of us possesses our own way of positively affecting the world we live in and it is a necessity that we contribute in making it a better place.
