Being a good person overshadows the bad things in life. In the short story The Gift Of The Magi by O.Henry, Della is a good person. One reason is because she wants others to be happy . Another reason is because she wants to provide for Jim. The last reason is she has good intentions. Della’s actions reflect a noble person. One reason Della is a good person is she wants others to be happy. One example of this is she sells her hair so Jim, her husband who is a nice person even though they are poor and haven't been married for long, can be happy. It is important to notice how Della cares about others so much to give her most prized possession for them. The other example of this is she looked everywhere for the perfect present for Jim, and finally after going all around town and looking in every store she found something.
