ASSIGNMENT 1
DESCRIPTION:
Adaptive Structuration Theory is the interaction of members use and resources in the production & reproduction of social systems. It involves groups and organizations and the available technology. How different people in a group make use of the technology and work dynamically to make use of roles and utilities of the technology comes under AST. Along with this it includes how people apply them to various activities and perform as a single-sequence model and come up with efficient decision making . Group Structuration is an outcome of group interaction, in which people perform actions and leave an impact on the group.
AREA OF APPLICATION: PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

• How can you resolve conflicts within a group related to student exchanges ?
Conflicts can be reduced by effective mode of communication. One needs to be cooperative and adjust according to the situation. Every body should get a chance to express his or her own views and participate to make a decision. Also one needs to value the speaker.
Observation:
People think that structures built into the system facilitate democratic decision making. One needs to be a patient listener and value the rules till a consensus isn’t attained. A united front can always reproduce the group’s rules and resources and hence put in into practice.
METHOD OF RECORDING OBSERVATIONS:
Enquiring and asking people the above mentioned questions and their views on the same and then relating their opinions and ideas with the theory.
