Death apart their ways
Life seems fine until you hit a false sense of protection. This is shown throughout the short story “ The Masque of the Red Death.” by Edgar Allen Poe. Prince Prospero, the antagonist throughout the story, is the owner of the castle, and he knows about the plague. The plague is a dangerous disease that leads the people throughout the castle to the darkest treasure at the end with no way out. Strengthen his allegory of Death finding its way in your life in “ The Masque of the Red Death.” Poe communicates that death emphasizes a rough patch in life through his eyes of the castle, Rooms 2-6, and the stranger.

His scaredness for his own life, “ But the mummer had gone so far as to assume the type of the Red Death. His vesture was dabbled in blood–and his broad brow, with all the features of the face, was besprinkled with the scarlet horror.” (Poe 5) The mask behind the Red Death had been shown reality through the blood and the features of the face that had been shown. He had been shown the horror that had been abrupt. Nobility has it’s effects and he had been shown through scarlett horror of his actions from hiding behind the truth of what he’d done. The last stages of life look back on what you once were and how bright it was but what sorrow has taken over your life. “While the vast assembly, as if with one impulse, shrank from the centres of the rooms to the walls, he made his way uninterruptedly, but with the same solemn and measured step which had distinguished him from the first, through the blue chamber.” Throughout his stages of life his power had over estimated himself and his capabilities, his doleness had been spoken and his time had come to an end as well as everyone else's.
