In the Great Gatsby there are numerous people that are filled with ambition, hope, and an ideal view of the world. In the novel we get to know a man named Gatsby who is mysterious at first when we get to meet him. We are greeted by Gatsby’s unique view of the world. He is someone that is filled with dedication and the will power to make his goal come true. However, his view of the world might not be so bright to how he proclaims it to be. In the beginning we know little about this man named Gatsby. We are unaware of his intentions, hopes, and dreams. From a first glance we can tell that he does things in a grandeur way. He likes his parties big and extravagant. We can tell that he likes to showcase his status and wealth. However, we don’t know as to why he does this and it isn’t until we start to delve deeper into his life. Things did not stop until Gastby got to what he was hoping for. It was revealed that the whole reason why he has the parties and shows his wealth is because he wants to lure a certain individual and that individual is a woman named Daisy. She …show more content…

It is a constant back and forth. It would appear that Gatsby would be winning and he would get what he wanted after all this time but then Tom backs him into the corner with questions that scare Daisy and make her fearful of Gatsby. Which results in Gatsby’s defeat with no hope of getting her back. It leads to a series of events that lead Gatsby and Daisy to be in a rock and a hard place. It was something that got the authorities involved, and because of this it led to a relationship being broken and it caused Daisy to run away. The ending result would be that Gatsby got shot and killed from a misunderstanding which at the moment ended Gatsby’s dream, hope, and ambition. He tried so hard to hold the light in his hands and was so fixated on it that led him to be unaware of his surroundings which led to his ultimate
