The New York Sun: This newspaper was started by a businessman by the name of Benjamin Day, with its first issue hitting newsstands September 3, 1833. Unlike newspapers prior to The Sun, this paper would not be published by the elites of society for the elites of society to push a particular political agenda, but this paper was purely to turn a profit for Day. He wanted to publish this paper and make it accessible for the common man, and he did so by selling the paper for the cost of everyday items (a penny). Day’s ability to turn a profit would be based on the selling of advertisements and selling the paper en masse because a larger group of people could afford to purchase the paper.
Father, lawyer, and friend, the gentlemanly Atticus Finch hopes to shape the character of his children. The novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee, is the story of the childhood of a young girl named Jean Louise “Scout” Finch. Throughout the book, Scout’s father, Atticus, tries his best to raise her and her brother, Jem, the right way as a single parent. To Kill a Mockingbird exemplifies the way the character of Atticus Finch either uses ritual or abandons it in order to develop certain character qualities within his children. He specifically focuses on the development of honesty, courage, and humility.

Even in a society that, overall, is diverse, people with similar ideas and experiences tend to congregate in small groups, where they are comfortable. It is much easier to remain in homogenous groups, among those who understand each other. When different groups combine, many different life experiences and points of view will be present and will potentially clash. Misunderstanding is bound to occur in some form when individuals of different backgrounds interact. When misunderstandings occur, people tend to respond with violence, fear, or stereotyping.
Have you ever thought of what courage means? Well, courage means the strength in the face of pain and relief. Courage takes place in this book because of all the circumstances and characters during the novel. Physical courage is shown in this book, when Atticus was standing in the middle of the street, facing a rabid dog armed with a shotgun. This is an impressive action to the children, so now Atticus has to show different types of courage to show that he is strong.
