While protecting Loyalists might anger rebels, providing security within the colonies will benefit your government and position in society. An example of propaganda within the colonies is Benjamin Franklins “Join Or Die” newsletter. My colleagues and I propose a system where all newsletters have to go through a non biased editor before being published. There will be severe consequences for disobeying your Highness’s authority. If colonists do not obey your authority and continue to abuse Loyalists, these offenders will be executed and or hanged. Depending on the severity of abuse, these outlaws will have to pay a fee, have land taken away, or be forced to join the British Navy. These offenders would be charged with manslaughter, as their justification is morally unjust. To kill someone because of their beliefs goes against Natural Law, which states all men are created equal. Lastly , we propose that a system is to be created to limit the power of the Sons Of Liberty. This system would be known as the Appeals Process. Members of the Sons Of Liberty would be able to make an amended complaint to Your Highness, concerning their livelihood.
